My English bulldog ate...

My English bulldog ate compost (our own decaying vegetable remnants mostly). He has been throwing up and is drooling and having tremors. This was about three hours ago.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. The Expert will know if your English bulldog will be able to digest that. What is your English bulldog's name and age?

Archie age 6

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Archie?

He is on a special kidney diet for the last few months.

He threw up quite a bit

Okay thank you

Moldy bread can cause tremors

But I suspect this is just acute gastritis

Lets give Pepcid AC at 1.0 mg/kg now and tomorrow AM

No food tonight

Cooked hamburger and rice tomorrow AM

Update me later tonight

Okay?

Quick question. Is the Pepcid just to keep him from vomiting and diarrhea? We live in a rural area and it will take me an hour to drive to a store. I will if needed of course. Just checking.

Yes you should go and get the Pepcid

I just wanted to thank you for your help. My dog, Archie, seems to be totally fine. Your advice gave me such peace of mind, and saved me from having to bring him to the emergency vet, which would have been at least $500 to start. So, thank you so much for your help.

You are very welcome!
