Customer Question
She licked an empty...

She licked an empty container that had rice pudding at some point, it was moldy and she’s twitching intermittently. She’s a little lethargic. I know these are symptoms of mycotoxins but I have no way of getting her to a vet at the moment. I’m giving her small amounts of water with a turkey baster. Is 12 hr observation ok in this case or should I try to find a way to see a vet at the moment? I have no car and it’s 2 am so I think my chances are pretty low :(

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. The Expert will know if the dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name?

Tinkerbell

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Tinkerbell?

No she’s healthy otherwise, she’s about 8 years old.

It’s been more than the 8 minutes I was quoted and I was charged $19 dollars not $5. If this is a scam I’d like to know so I don’t waste anymore time.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Please let me know if you still need help. May I have an update on Tinkerbell, please?

To answer you directly, in most cases these toxicities are self-limiting and a vet's attention is only needed if excessive fluid and electrolytes are lost through vomiting and/or diarrhea.
