Just wanted to follow-up to yesterday. Her diarrhea has ceased. Fed her chicken and rice today. I'm going to change her food to chicken and rice since this may be easier for her kidneys as well as it has a little less protein than her current food. She eats Victor and is very active. She was able to hold her urine all night as well. I think it was just her anxiety. What can I do to help her with her anxiety?

I'm so happy to hear Cinnamon's diarrhea is better! Did she have diagnosed kidney disease before? If not I wouldn't worry about the protein content too much, and a balanced diet will be better for the long term. Feed the bland for for a few days, then try to switch back to a balanced dog food if she'll eat it.

As far as the anxiety, that's more tricky. You can try benadryl at 1mg per pound 3 times daily...that sometimes has a sedative effect on dogs and is very safe.

Another option is a calming treat like Composure. They have tryptophan (like what's in turkey) and other supplements to ease anxiety. Here's a link to them on Amazon:
