Very lethargic may have eaten chocolate

Veterinarian's Assistant: Maybe I'm confused. I thought you had a problem with a pet. Is that correct?

Yes my puppy

Veterinarian's Assistant: The Expert will know if your puppy will be able to digest that. What is the puppy's name?

Brooklyn 5yr old mini pincher

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Brooklyn?

Hi I’m Dr G. I have 18 years experience and can help you with your dog.
I’m not sure what chocolate crumb eatables are. Can you tell me more about them? I need to know how much chocolate is in them. Is anything else in them? Dark, milk, semi sweet chocolate? How long ago? Any other signs besides lethargic?

I doubt it’s the chocolate, as that doesn’t make, them drowsy. It’s probably the THC. Dogs are very sensitive to it and can become very ill. They may be lethargic, may leak urine, may have a weird heart rate or eyes that won’t focus.
Chocolate toxicity causes a high heart rate, panting, looks hyper, vomiting etc.
You can’t make him vomit it due to the lethargy. An ER Clinic could give him some activated charcoal and fluids to help him absorb less of it. They truly would not care that you had THC in the house, they would only want to help your pup.

Oh good, I’m glad to hear it. When dogs eat the THC, it hits them much harder. On a good note, most dogs do just fine with supportive care, so try not to worry too much.
Good luck with your pup!
