I might dose a 15 lb dog with as much as 2 mg per pound of body weight of metoprolol - 30 mg for Maggie. As long as she doesn't suffer from a heart condition in which that beta blocker would be contraindicated, she should remain safe and so there's no need to induce emesis or treat in any manner. Adverse effects most commonly occur in geriatric dogs or with acute decompensating heart disease - lethargy, weakness, and depression, mainly. I expect that you'll see no adverse effects at all. Please respond with further questions or concerns.
