We went to have...

We went to have Easter dinner with daughter an family. there was a big retriever but kept in a pin. But when out would bark and scare my Shih Tzu. We also took him for walks outside. Pollen is falling. Anyway my dog started drooling profusely. I was constantly wiping his beard and I checked his mouth, he is cutting teeth and is constantly trying to bite I could not see anything to cause the drooling but he did yelp when I was wiping his mouth on one side. He is not eating breakfast this morning but will eat his freeze dried liver treats which are small and I broke them up smaller. what do you think it could be other than teething. Also it was hot yesterday in Charleston. we did go very far on his walks but maybe he was too warm.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. Is your dog bleeding a lot?

Have you tried offering Bandit soft foods to see if he will eat them?

Have there been any changes to the diet? New food, including a change of flavors or protein source within the same brand? New treats? Bones? Has any human food been fed? Torn up toys or trash? Stressful changes to the environment? Addition of medication?
