Welcome to JustAnswer.com! My name is***** and I have been a licensed veterinarian for 10 years. I would be happy to answer your question. I'm sorry to hear that Max has a swollen belly. Since you have not seen him defecate for some time, it's likely that he is constipated. I would try giving him some a few tablespoons of canned pumpkin to help soften and bulk up his stool to make it easier to pass.

I would also make sure he is hydrated by encouraging him to drink water. You can do that putting a teaspoon of low-sodium beef or chicken broth to a bowl of fresh water. Being well hydrated will also make it easier to pass stool.
