One of them just threw up a little and the vomit had small nits of soft rubbery bone. I did not give them any food with bones but we went out in the woods for a walk yesterday evening and they often wander away or run ahead so they may have eaten something

Welcome to JustAnswer.com! My name is***** and I have been a licensed veterinarian for 10 years. I would be happy to answer your question. It does sound like they got into something that might have been a neurological toxin. I would get them to the ER for treatment with activated charcoal and IV fluids to get the toxins out of their systems.

That's the problem also there is not an er vet within a 100 miles with the execution of one who's malpractice lawsuits are in numbers as high as there astronomical cost ($300 each dog just to be seen. Treatment and everything else is added onto that) and being a widow and mother of 4 I don't have that kind of money but the dogs mean the world to us. But they won't see me without $600 cash up front. I gave them both peroxide to make them throw up. On has and seems a little better but the other hasn't thrown up, but seems more alert
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Rachel, Dog Veterinarian replied 20 days ago

How much peroxide have you given them?

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Rachel, Dog Veterinarian replied 20 days ago

If they got into something yesterday, it is too late to induce vomiting, but since we don't really know what they got into and when, it is worth trying with the peroxide.

4 ml each dog is 8 1/2 lbs. 2 doses in 45 minutes
Customer reply replied 20 days ago
That's 4ml each dog
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Rachel, Dog Veterinarian replied 20 days ago

Okay, you can give some more to the dog that hasn't vomited yet.

I'm glad to hear they seem a little better so you can wait for your regular vet to open.

Ok and if they seem to be more responsive and normal can they wait till the morning to go to the vet?
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Rachel, Dog Veterinarian replied 20 days ago

Yes.

But if they start to have tremors I would try to get them in sooner.

Ok is there anything else I can do for them?
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Rachel, Dog Veterinarian replied 20 days ago

I think that's it. Make them vomit with the peroxide and take them in if they start having tremors/seizures. Take to your vet in the morning.

Now how are tremors different from just shaking like they are cold or like before they throw up they shake a little. Oh and the one who hadn't thrown up just did. No bone in her vomit just mucus like slime
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Rachel, Dog Veterinarian replied 20 days ago

Hi, how are they doing this morning?
