Welcome to JustAnswer.com! My name is***** and I have been a licensed veterinarian for 10 years. I would be happy to answer your question. I'm sorry to hear that Santana is not eating and is sleeping a lot. How long has that been going on?

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question

For about a week
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Rachel, Dog Veterinarian replied 3 months ago

Older dogs can develop some conditions that can cause the signs that Santana is having. The excessive water drinking can be a sign of kidney disease and diabetes. Dogs with kidney disease are prone to getting urinary tract infections. I wonder if that is what's going on. I would have a urinalysis done at your vet's office.

They may also recommend getting some blood work to check for diabetes, kidney and liver disease.

She is also bleeding. We thought she was in her period about 2 weeks ago and then it stopped. But now she's back to bleeding again. It just comes out
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Rachel, Dog Veterinarian replied 3 months ago

Is she bleeding from her vagina? And is it urine with blood in it, or is it straight blood? Another things that concerns me is a pyometra (infected uterus). If she is septic from that, that can also cause excessive drinking. I would get her in to the vet.

From her vagina. I thinks it's both. She's also been peeing in the house a lot
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Rachel, Dog Veterinarian replied 3 months ago

I would definitely get her to the vet as soon as possible to have a urinalysis and blood work to figure out what's going on.
