Customer Question
My dog is approx...

My dog is approx 14. She is hyperventilating , unsteady on her feet and strangely wagging her tail. I steadied her and forced her onto her dog bed. Went into living room and found solid #2, also #1 and vomit. Picked up. Came back to bedroom and she is still hyperventilating. The only human food she has eaten is a few pork rinds at about 7. She had half a can of wet food and also some dry food at about 630. She is about 65# ***** breed, maybe pointer boxer and pit bull .

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. The Expert will know if your dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name?

Gracie.

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Gracie?

Also she frequently consumes human food and many types of petfood with no issues.

I'm sorry to hear about this. My first thought is that it sounds like she had a brief seizure. Normally when dogs have a seizure they urinate and defecate, have muscle twitching and then become disoriented for approximately 20 minutes afterwards.

Possible old dog vestibular disease but the doc says its the milder form. She might recover in 72 hours.

Ok that's good. Thank you for letting me know. I don't always get to hear how things go and it's nice to hear.
