Good evening. My Dog...

Good evening. My Dog Buster is a two year old Irish Setter. He suddenly shivering, and very lethargic. He will hold his head up fpr a short period and slowly close his eyes. He is not eating but he did have some water a little bit a go. If i touch his belly, he doesnt cry or wimper but looks at me with a pled. He was playing with a spider that i assume is a non posion spider we have wolf spiders running around. Not longer after that, this started

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. Did you see what Buster ate?

Also he is not vomiting nor trying to

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Buster?

Thank you. Yes a busy bone only

Hi

Dr. Paul Brazzell here

Those are bad spiders- Wolf spider's that is

If he bit your dog then this could explain the signs

Is there an emergency clinic nearby?

Any difficulty breathing?

The fact that this came on so suddenly is what worries me

When he lays down like he is sleeping (eyes closed) it stops.
Customer reply replied 28 days ago
Ok thank you

He looks very sad

That shaking also worries me-> Electrolyte, muscular weakness, hyper/hypo calcemia, Addison's disease, toxin/bite

All of those are on my list

The trouble is that there is nothing we can really do for him at home

This is one instance where we need to get him examined- I just do not want to take a chance here

I am sorry

Thank you so very much. It appears he needed to poop, just didnt let me know. It was lose at first but the last bit was morw solid. Poor baby must have held it in to long. I had an endoscopy today and he didnt get a good run nor did i see him poop, he did go after i got home, perhaps he had more. When i opened the door, he ran out..pooped then started to hunt for squirrles. Lol i guess he is OK then?
