I won't be able to call you, but, I can answer your question in this chat.

1- How long has this been going on?

2- Is she spayed?

3- Can you describe the appearance of the vaginal discharge?

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
This has been going on since yesterday. She is fixed. Her vaginal area has sticky mucus and dry crusty fur around it.
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Peter, Veterinarian replied 3 months ago

1- Is she urinating more frequently?

2- Any other symptoms?

3- Can you take her rectal temperature?

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
I can try to take temp...no extra bathroom trips. No other symptoms, shaking and lathargy...
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
Her temp is 99.5, no rectally but under her armpit (front leg)
Customer reply replied 3 months ago
She has no fever, no excessive urinating, no stinky smelling body parts. Ears clean, eyes clean. She is a 9 year old chiwawa, dautsand mix. Sorry about the spelling.
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Peter, Veterinarian replied 3 months ago

Friend, the armpit temperature is not accurate in a dog. But, thank you for trying.

Friend, the vaginal discharge you are describing is consistent with a vaginal infection (vaginitis); this can explain why her tail is tucked in and shivering. I would recommend having her checked by your family veterinarian for a vaginal examination. In addition, she may need oral antibiotics. In the meantime, feel free to wash the vaginal area with warm water and an antimicrobial soap. If cost is a concern I would look into your local ASPCA or Shelter where they often offer veterinary services at a lower cost.

My goal is to provide you with excellent service. If you have any follow-up questions don't hesitate to ask. If finished, please take a moment to rate my service it is how I get compensated. See you again soon!
