Hello,

I'm Dr. Jo and I'm here to help you with your question about Maya and the "happy traveler" pet chews.

How long ago did this happen?
Is Maya otherwise healthy and on no other medications?

How is she acting right now?

I've been looking things up regarding the product I provided the link to above. If that is the correct problem and Maya is indeed otherwise healthy and on no medications, I have some good news for you. Even though Maya is a small dog, we do NOT expect any type of toxic reaction from this type of overdose. Eating the whole bag of chews will not be poisonous to her. There is no reason to induce vomiting or take other action.

That being said, simply as a result of eating a whole bag of treats, she may get an upset stomach. This can happen anytime a dog eats something unusual or especially rich. That means she still may show appetite loss, vomiting, or diarrhea, but those symptoms should be relatively minor and go away without a need for medical treatment. It would be best to skip supper tonight, but allow access to water. You can resume normal meals tomorrow.
If her vomiting becomes severe or doesn't go away after skipping supper tonight, please do seek medical attention.

I know I'm still awaiting your reply, but does this answer your question so far?
