Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question

The oral diabetes drugs Janumet XR and glipizide are considered inactive in dogs; bupropion can cause sedation and lethargy at 5 mg/lb but Coco ingested only 150 mg/70 lbs which is equivalent to 2.1 mg/lb; lisinopril only causes mild gastrointestinal symptoms at doses less than 9 mg/lb. Coco ingested 20 mg/70 lbs which is equivalent to only 0.29 mg/lb. HCTZ can be prescribed to dogs at much more than 12.5 mg for a 70 lb dog. In summary if Coco ingested those pills she should remain safe but minor symptoms of sedation, inappetence, vomiting and/or diarrhea, and urinating a higher volume of urine might be seen. May I have an update on Coco, please?
