The SDS sheet on this product is woefully incomplete stating only that thoroughly rinsing out the mouth is indicated after ingestion. The active ingredient in Bag Balm is a derivative of petroleum but apparently of very low toxicity. Transient gastrointestinal distress (inappetence, vomiting, diarrhea) is the only sign expected. Bismuth subsalicylate (Pepto Bismol, Kaopectate) dosed in the wide range of 0.125 - 1 mL per pound of body weight every 6-8 hours might be helpful. (1 mL = 1/5 of a measuring teaspoon)
