Hello. My name is***** am happy to help you with your question. Give me just a moment to respond and type.

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question

Were they sugar free or just regular gum balls? How many did she eat? How long ago did this happen?

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
I don’t think they were sugar free. She ate 2 or three.

Thank you. How much does she weigh? What is the name of the medications she is on?

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
88 lbs. Medication is Epizyme powder

Thank you.

I think it will not be an issue.

She is a large dog and she only ate a few.

Dogs eat gum all the time, and as long there is no xylitol in a sugar free version, they do well.

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
There is a chance she could develop an upset stomach.
Give her a snack so she has something in her stomach.
Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
Most likely she will be just fine though.
Does that help? Do you have any other questions for me?
Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
Ok. Thank You! She is eating a little bit now.
Okay great. If needed you could give her a tablet of 10 mg Pepcid ac or 75 mg Zantac. Those are over the counter stomach acid reducers.
Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
Customer reply replied 4 months ago
No. Thank you so much!
The stomach acid reducers can be given every 12 hours as needed.
Glad to help : )
