I would take him to the vet now, but they are closed. I will take him in the morning, but if it's an emergency, I will find an emergency hospital to take him too.

I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Please let me know if you still need help. May I have an update on Jameson, please? I regret that my state board of veterinary examiners doesn't allow me to speak to customers by phone in this venue but other experts in this category may be able to assist you in this regard. Please let me know if you'd like another expert to do so and I'll opt out of this conversation. Please stay in the conversation if you wish.

Please just tell me what you think could be the problem.

He still has diarrhea. He hasn't ate anything today.
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Michael Salkin, Veterinarian replied 4 months ago

Regretfully, diarrhea while an important sign isn't pathognomonic (specifically indicative) of any particular disorder. In young dogs intestinal parasitism and dietary indiscretion (ingestion of something inappropriate) are the most common causes unless my patient is unvaccinated and then I have to consider the more serious viruses such as canine distemper and parvovirus. Coronavirus is another consideration but is expected to cause mild and self-limiting diarrhea. Shaking and tachycardia (increased heart rate) are also nonspecific signs but often indicative of pain, anxiety, or both. Please continue our conversation if you wish.
