I think my dog ate a small bit of Dcon mouse bait. Your article says it would take 2 ounces of the bait to be serious in a 30 lb dog. Should I induce vomiting just to be safe?

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. The Expert will know if your dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name and age?

Charlie 2 1/2 years old, about 60 lbs

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Charlie?

He has been having seizure-like incidents 1-2 times per week over the last 2 months that have been lessoning in severity. He has been on Bravecto for 2 years....think it might be that

d-CON can contain either of two anticoagulant rodenticides - brodifacoum or difethialone. Brodifacoum is more toxic but it takes at least 4.9 ounces of brodifacoum to seriously intoxicate a 60 lb dog. I don't believe that a "small bit" approaches that amount and so there's no need to induce emesis or treat in any manner. Please respond with further questions or concerns.
