Welcome to JustAnswer.com! My name is***** and I have been a licensed veterinarian for 10 years. I would be happy to answer your question. It sounds like Cassie is having some acid build up during the night. I would give her some a small snack a little later in the evening (9?) along with some Pepcid. About how much does she weigh?

She weighs 25 pounds
Customer reply replied 5 months ago
No thanks I will try doing what you suggested

Okay you can give her a 10 mg Pepcid tablet now (if you have it), and then 1 tablet before bedtime. You do want to make sure that there isn't something more serious going on that is causing extra acid build up, though. There are certain conditions that older dogs can develop that are irritating to their stomach lining and can cause vomiting of yellow bile, including kidney and liver disease. I recommend that she have some senior lab work done to make sure everything is okay, including blood work (CBC, chemistry profile, T4), as well as a urinalysis.

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question

Good luck with her. Hopefully there is no serious underlying problem.
