Earlier while I was at work my room mate left a roll of nickels sitting on the table, which my 9 month old Pitbull (80 lb) decided to shred and ate just a couple of nickels.. i fo i found out about it just now when she suddenly spit out 4 nickels and my friend said "whoa, she made change!"

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. The Expert will know if the dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name?

Oh Winter! Haha! Nickels aren't toxic, I'd be more worried about them getting stuck, though she's a big dog so they may pass. You can try 2 TBSP of hydrogen peroxide to induce vomiting is case there's any in he stomach. If no vomit I think I'd just monitor. If any vomiting or lack of appetite occurs I'd get an xray...nickels should show up well. Hope she does well!
