Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question

Karen, his behavior is simply because he does not feel well. Being lethargic is a very nonspecific symptom and can be related to many different medical conditions that affect dogs. Anything from a fever, infection, ingestion of a foreign body, kidney or liver disease, etc. are all possible causes. I would not wait to make an appointment to see your veterinarian. I would either have him checked tonight by ER veterinarian or walk in with him into your vet's office in the morning as an emergency. You see, there are medical conditions that time is of the essence and it is important to rule out. For this reason, I would not wait. The attending vet can perform a hands-on examination and may need to run some testing. Treatment will be based on exam and test results.

My goal is to provide you with excellent service. If you have any follow-up questions don't hesitate to ask. If finished, please take a moment to rate my service it is how I get compensated. See you again soon!
