I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. if you saw muscle tremors, hyperexcitation, or seizures within hours after exposure, your dog is likely in trouble. However, a more insidious sign, hind limb paresis (weakness) can arise in up to 5 days or more later. A one ounce block of bromethalin contains 2.84 mg of bromethalin and any major ingestion approaching 0.23 mg per pound of body weight should trigger decontamination with charcoal. It doesn't sound as if he were intoxicated but I can be more accurate for you if you tell me how much he weighs, please.
