Customer Question
My 20 lb chiweenie...

My 20 lb chiweenie just ate an 8 ounce cup of French Onion Soup. I know onions are toxic for dogs. What do I need to watch for

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. Did you see what the dog ate?

No, but my son said he ate it all. So I am assuming the broth, onions, cheese and bread

Hi

Dr. Paul Brazzell here

I think that since the effects og ingesting too much onion can last up to 5 to 7 days we should induce vomiting

He ate quite a bit of onion

Do you have hydrogen peroxide there?

Paul
