Customer Question
Dog is a 12...

Dog is a 12 year old GSD. Four days ago stopped eating. Yesterday resumes eating, but has a liquid stool. Restless - going in and out of the house to try to have a bowl movement. Still has liquid stool.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. What is the dog's name?

Maddie. Spayed female.

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Maddie?

I have had some work done in yard this past week. Had guests for the holidays. She ate sparingly tonight. Still going in & out.

Have there been any changes to the diet? New food, including a change of flavors or protein source within the same brand? New treats? Bones? Has any human food been fed? Torn up toys or trash? Stressful changes to the environment?

Are you seeing any vomiting?

Ask Your Own Dog Veterinary Question
Customer reply replied 6 months ago
No vomiting to date. No interest in food today. Did eat dog treats (2 wheat & rice bones) over holiday. Usually eat kibble ( no change in brand) and some small amount in cooked chicken or roast beef with kibble. This diet has worked OK for all the years I have had Maddie.

Thank you for the additional information and has Maddie had any bloodwork performed recently?

This is a waste of time and money. Took dog to local vet this morning. We are done.
