Hi, I'm a licensed veterinarian and I'll be happy to help.

Were these solid chocolate, or filled with things like fruit, nuts, etc? Do you know if the chocolate was dark or milk chocolate?

small individually wrapped...I think he got two
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Drew, Dog Veterinarian replied 6 months ago

OK, thanks. Good news - the white chocolate is of very low risk of toxic effects - and the milk chocolate is only slightly worse, but given the fact that only 2 bite sized items were eaten, and he weighs 15 lbs, I would not anticipate any serious effects to occur.

Now, you may see digestive upset - diarrhea, mild vomiting, loss of appetite - but these should resolve within 12-24 hours.

If any issues persist, then veterinary attention is advised, but at this point I think that's fairly unlikely.
