I am sorry to hear Rocky did this.

The good news is that it will not cause any problems with Rocky. These bacteria are destroyed in the stomach and will not make it to the intestines and should not upset the stomach. The pill should not cause any issue at all.

Rocky 7 or 8 came to stay with me for a few days . His breath stinks so horrible more than I ever smelled on him. He was so skinny his hip and ribs were sticking out . Like those dogs that are rescued.
His eyes were dull and he was not real active. I fed him 1/3 cup 3 times a day out of a bowl that had bumps in it to slow him down. He gobbled it up. He goes to the bathroom ok. This is not the rocky I knew before this. What do I do. He might have ate an acidophilus pill . Not for sure.

If he has really bad breath he may need a dental cleaning by his regular veterinarian. The weight loss could be related to another issue as well. I recommend taking him to a veterinarian for an exam and to have a stool check (to rule out parasites) and a full blood panel to make sure there is no systemic problem. There are lots of things that can cause weight loss and many of them can be found via bloodwork.
