I purchased a dog two years ago with a chip however I became ill and never activated it if I pay can I still activate since today someone took my wonderful pet

Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner, but I wanted to touch base with given your situation.

Provided you have his details/paperwork or at least the phone number of the microchip company, you can activate it and register him to you. That way if anyone finds or scans him they will know he is yours (and if you let the chip company know what happened, they will put an alert on his file as well). Otherwise, if you don't have his paperwork you will need to ring your local vet as soon as they are open as they can provide the microchip companys phone number and his chip number so you can register it and give you the best chance to get him home.
