Vomiting and shaking, his bowel movement was much smaller…

Customer Question
Vomiting and shaking...

Vomiting and shaking, his bowel movement was much smaller than usual and seemed to be difficult to excrete. Vomit just changed in color from a beige to a light brown.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the dog eat anything unusual?

Nothing that I witnessed. Early this morning I let him out, it was still dark and I didn't see him for about a minute. Then this afternoon out again. He's a road dog,so we are everywhere. I usually wipe his paws before putting him in the truck. I didn't do that the second time out.

Veterinarian's Assistant: What is the dog's name and age?

Rico, he's five

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Rico?

Nothing

Have there been any changes to the diet? New food, including a change of flavors or protein source within the same brand? New treats? Bones? Has any human food been fed? Torn up toys or trash? Stressful changes to the environment?
