I am sorry to learn Bailey is not feeling well. I will do my best to help you today. First I need to ask you a few questions so that I can be well informed and give you the best advice.

1- Did she get into anything or eat something out of the ordinary?

2- What breed is Bailey?

3- Any pre existing medical conditions?

4- Any vomiting, diarrhea or coughing?

5- Have you tried to get her up? If so, what happens?

Friend, lethargy and decreased appetite are very non-specific symptoms and can be related to many different medical conditions that affect dogs. Anything from neuromuscular disorders, ingestion of a foreign body, to a systemic disease, etc. are all possible. Unfortunately, on history only we will not be able to pinpoint the exact underlying cause, I am sorry.
In this case, your dog will need a hands on examination by a veterinarian, blood work (chemistry profile & CBC) and urinalysis as an initial screening test to determine the exact underlying cause. Treatment will be based on exam and test results. For example, if your vet finds that she has an infection she will be treated with antibiotics, if this is related to a pinched nerve she will be treated with anti-inflammatory and pain medication, etc. If cost is a concerned I would look into your local ASPCA or Shelter where they often offer veterinary services at a lower cost. There is not much I can recommend for you to try at home that would have any significant therapeutic benefit, I am sorry.

I realize that this answer may not be entire to your liking, and I regret being the bearer of information that you really don’t want to hear. But it would be unfair to you and unprofessional of me were I to provide you with anything less than truthful and honest information. I hope you understand.

My goal is to provide you with excellent service. If you have any follow-up questions don't hesitate to ask. If finished, please take a moment to rate my service it is how I get compensated. See you again soon!
