Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the dog eat anything unusual?

Just the vitamins

I looked at the ingredients in these vitamins and found 384 IU of vitamin D3 which is the only vitamin of concern because it can cause renal damage when ingested in excess. 50 vitamins x 384 IU/vitamin = 19,200 IU of vitamin D3. Thankfully, it would take at least 1,800 IU/lb of body weight (144,000 IU for your 80 lb boxer) to intoxicate him and so as with ingesting anything unusual transient gastrointestinal distress in the form of inappetence, vomiting and/or diarrhea can arise but he wasn't intoxicated. There's no need to induce emesis or treat in any manner. Please respond with further questions or concerns.
