We accidentally gave our 9 year old Bernese Mt dog two 75 mg carpofen tablets this evening. She had another 75 mg 12 hours ago. She also had a mg tramadol 12 hours ago and rwo just now (one by accident). Is this an overdose and if somwhat should we do?

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'll do all I can to help. What is wrong with the Bernese?

She has arthritis. Did you see the message I sent regarding dosages of carpofen and tramadol?

Veterinarian's Assistant: Where does the Bernese seem to hurt?

Doesn’t hurt at all now. My question is whether we overdosed her.

Veterinarian's Assistant: OK. No obvious pain. What is the Bernese's name?

Hi.

Dr. Paul Brazzell here

I am not worried about the Tramadol

I am also not worried about the Rimadyl- there is a pretty wide margin of safety with this drug

Do NOT give the 75 mg tablet tomorrow AM

Start back with 75.0 mg tomorrow night

I hope that helps.

You should update me tomorrow AM

Okay?
