Hello & welcome, I am Dr. B, a licensed veterinarian and I would like to help you today. I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your wee one’s situation, and wanted to help.

Again I do apologize that my colleagues could not aid you sooner. If you would still like assistance, can you tell me:

How much does your dog weigh?

How long ago did she have this?

How is she just now?

Did she eat any of the tube/package?

Any luck with this?

Hello again,

Apologies that we are playing time zone tag here.

With regards ***** ***** cream, it is the zinc oxide and Resorcinol that would be our main concerns but at the doses of each present we'd not expect anything more than GI upset (diarrhea +/- vomiting or appetite loss). That said, for Sady to not have signs at this point is quite positive and often dogs that don't develop GI signs in the first few hours usually won't do so. Therefore, we can all breathe a sigh of relief here and would just want to monitor her for those above signs. If you do see any GI upset, you can consider offering a light diet option. Examples of an easily digestible diet include cooked white rice with boiled chicken, boiled white fish, scrambled egg, or meat baby food (as long as its free from garlic or onion powder). Ideally, we want to offer this as small frequent meals to keep the stomach settled. But again as she didn't eat the container (a blockage risk), her risks here are low and only mild short term GI upset over the next 12-24 hours would be all we'd expect to see if anything at all.

Kind regards,

Dr. B.
