My dog licked some ash (not a lot) in an ashtray but it was from marijuana not cigarettes. Now she's acting funny and wining a little and a little off balance. She thew up though so I'm guessing that's good.

How much does Ziggy weigh, please? It's difficult to seriously intoxicate a dog with THC. For example the mimimal lethal dose of THC is greater than 1.5 grams per pound of body weight. Vomiting and ataxia ("drunken sailor") are expected but should abate within 24 hours in most cases. I place these dogs in a quiet, dimly lit room and allow them sleep off their high. There's rarely a reason for a vet visit - especially with such a casual exposure as you've described.
