Customer Question
She at the rubber...

She at the rubber part of a tennis ball. She vomited once a couple hours ago, and i didnt see anything but kibble from her am meal mainly digested. She went out and pottied and pooped. She came back in sniffing around her bowl, so i gave her 1 cup of her kibble. She was laying down in the room afterward. She came out looking all guilty. So i went to see if she threw up. She did and there was alot of little about 1inch in diameter black rubber chunks mixed in with the vomit. I look over and see a tennis ball cover with a few lonely rubber pieces still hanging on... What should i do?

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. What sort of animal are we talking about?

Dog 115lb american bulldog.

Veterinarian's Assistant: OK. This sounds like it might be serious. I'll let the Veterinarian know what's going on ASAP. Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about the dog?

No. She has no fever and us actin normal other than that.

Hello, this is Dr. Schmidt. I cannot make a diagnosis over the internet, but I can give you some advice regarding your pet. Some dogs can pass the's things especially if they have chewed them up into smaller pieces. I would start an antacid, Pepcid (0.25mg/lb), every 12 hours to help settle her stomach and start her on a blandndiet of boiled chicken and white rice. If she does not improve by tomorrow, I would take her in to the vet for an xray. Let me know if you have any follow up questions. If you could take a minute to give me a positive rating so I can receive credit for this question, I would really appreciate it. Best of luck with everything!
