Hello and thank you for using this site to help you. I am very sorry your question was not picked up sooner by one of my colleagues. I just came on line and saw your question sitting there.

Can you tell me what breed of dog Carter is?

How long has this been going on?

If you bring the food and water to him, will he attempt to eat or drink?

What color are his gums?

Bishon. Since about 6:00 last night. He will not eat or drink. Dark pink

Thank you for that information. With this breed I would be concerned with a disc issue. What happens is the soft tissue that cushions the disc turns hard and presses on the spine. This causes pain and an arch in the back. I am going to direct you to a link that goes over this to save time. This will go into causes, symptoms and treatments.

You can try giving aspirin for inflammation, but only give with a little something to eat if you can. Here is dosing information. Use plain aspirin, NOT tylenol , acetaminophen, or ibuprofen products.

Aspirin Do not use Tylenol/acetimenofen or Ibuprofen products
