Customer Question
She vomits every few...

She vomits every few weeks. Sometimes every other week. Before she throws up she's shaky and wobbly, as soon as she finishes throwing up a couple times she's perfectly fine. It's not on a regular basis other than it happens at least once a month.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it didn't make a mess. Did the dog eat anything unusual?

No. This most recent time I was out of the house for several hours and she tends not to eat when I'm not home.

Veterinarian's Assistant: OK. The Expert will know what to do. What is the dog's name and age?

Brownie, she is a 5 yr old Papillon mix

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Brownie?

She does get car sick; she always has.

Good afternoon, I’m a licensed professional. I’m so sorry to hear about this vomiting issue you’ve been going through. First I would like to ask have you changed anything in her diet lately? Such as the type of dog food, have you went to canned food versus dry food? Also are there times were she eats really really fast? does she vomit right after she gets done eating, or is it usually a few hours after she eats?
Some dogs as they grow older develop a very sensitive stomach. So I would recommend switching her to a sensitive stomach diet as well as sensitive stomach treats. Please feel free to write back with the answers to the questions I have asked. So I can give you more information about issues with vomiting dogs.
