Magoo eats 2 times a day limited ingredient grain free (merrick brand)kibble 2 cups plus 1 cooked sweet potato and 4 tablespoons Greek yogurt ( no table scraps) 1 month ago I gave Magoo a cycle of Dewormer for tape worms and other types of parasites
Magoo is 4 years old and seems very heathy, shinny coat, active( for a English bull dog) very happy, good muscle tone, can't

Since he's now losing weight despite eating, you have reason to seek additional diagnostics. Bloodwork and x-rays are a good place to start, though I would also warn you that abdominal ultrasound, intestinal biopsy and specific digestive profiles may be recommended if they do not find anything on basic bloodwork. If you wish to try something at home, you may need to look at a more calorie dense food such as a performance dog food to see if he will gain weight.

We have only just increased his food intake in the last few weeks. I don't believe he has lost more weight. When we first got him back in April he was overweight. At that time we decreased his food intake and changed his food. Over that time is when he had lost the weight. Over the past few weeks it doesn't seem he has gained any weight. When should we see the results since increasing the food?
Dog Veterinarian: PitRottMommy, Veterinary Nurse replied 7 months ago

He should be gaining weight in the last few weeks. If he's not or he's losing, this is a concern. It depends on how much additional food. If he's, for example, 40# ***** you've been feeding for a 60# ***** he should gain notable weight within 1 week. Try to weight him on the same scale (at home or vet's office) so that there isn't much variability.
