My golden retriever has licked a sore spot on the inside of her back leg. I was wondering can I give her Benadryl and baby aspirin

Happy Thanksgiving!

Lets forgo the aspirin and benadryl.

Just buy some hydrocortisone (anti itch) and apply that to the lesion

I am not sure either option will work as dogs tend to keep licking regardless.

Often a bandage over the lesion or a head collar is needed.

Where on the leg is the lesion - towards the paw or the top?

Try the hydrocortisone and jeep her distracted

I would apply it three to four times a day
