Customer Question
Our 13 lb Yorkie...

Our 13 lb Yorkie stomach is hard and all he wants to do is lay down. He hasn't had a bowl movement in a couple days as far as I know. He is not eating.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. Could be a lot of things that cause lethargy. The Expert will know how to help the dog. What is the dog's name?

Kozar

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Kozar?

Nothing else

I am sorry to hear you are worried about Kozar. Is he drinking?

If you lift his lip to check his gums, are they pink in color or pale?

Any vomiting?

Can you take his temperature with a rectal thermometer? Normal is 101.5. If his temp is 103 or higher, that would explain lethargy.

If he is not eating, that could be why you are not seeing any bowel movements.
