My 13-year-old pit mix is panting, pacing and can’t lay

Customer Question
Hi there. My 13-year-old...

Hi there. My 13-year-old pit mix is panting, pacing and can’t lay down. She’s trying to, but gets up every time. I touched her abdomen and she yelped. I’m fearing the worst. She DOES have some spinal calcification/arthritis, but this seems different. She won’t stop moving, which is not normal for her. I just had a check up with her last week with my vet and everything seemed fine. I don’t know what to do.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. Could be a lot of things that cause lethargy. The Expert will know how to help the dog. What is the dog's name?

Poodle

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Poodle?

Occasional seizures in the past

She’s laying down now for the first time today.

just to be certain, this is not lethargy. It’s kind of the opposite.
