I have 6 week old pit bull puppies. Big and healthy. I have no idea how much they weigh. I have Strongid/Pan. How much can I safely give them?

Angela, Strongid contains pyrantel at a concentration of 50 mg/mL. I dose dogs over 5 lbs of body weight at 2.5 mg per lb now, in two, and four weeks. For example:

A 5 lb puppy would receive 12.5 mg which is equivalent to 0.25 mL of Strongid. A 10 lb puppy would receive 25 mg which is equivalent to 0.5 mL of Strongid. To answer you directly, doses of up to 7X recommended are generally well-tolerated.

Please respond with further questions or concerns if you wish.
