Customer Question
I have an epileptic...

I have an epileptic dog who takes 150 mg of zonisimide 2x a day. He occasionally has episodes, not full seizures, but he's out of it, difficulty walking, wobbly, etc.

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. Seizures always look scary. Let's get you talking to the Veterinarian. What is the dog's name and age?

Today, he had one and I gave him a few drops of cbd oil but its been two hours and he still is very lethargic, skittish, and I'm worried. His name is ***** ***** he is a 10 year old american cocker spaniel.

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about Teddy?

For the first time, he is leaking drops of urine. He's never done that before. I've treated his back with some ice pack.

I hope I can help you today. I'm so sorry that your question was not answered sooner. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your pet's problem, and want to help.

How is Teddy doing right now, is he seeming lethargic still? Any difficulty breathing?

I'm at emergency vet now as he's still not very responsive.

Awww poor guy - that sounds like the best choice if he was not coming around from the seizure - hopefully they can figure out where it is coming from. We can get a lot more information when we can see them in person.

Glad to hear you took him in-
