Hello I have a stove gas I didn’t turn it off all the way this morning and my dog was exposed to gas for at least seven hours I want to know what to do

Hi. My name is***** Thank you for your question. This could have been a very serious situation. Honestly, the biggest potential danger was the immediate fire danger with that gas in the environment. I would be out of that house till the gas has cleared. AS far as longer term problems from this, typically there aren't any. Birds are much more sensitive to gases like this. Cats can be more sensitive, especially those with asthma. Dogs, typically aren't as sensitive. IF he's breathing normally at this time with no increased effort or rate, then there's not much that needs to be done but watching for any issues. I wouldn't be overly worried that any problems have been started up by this. Again the biggest problem has been avoided, a fire / explosion / smoke as being the big hazards that could have happened.
