My dog ate a few handfuls of raw almonds. He's 40-45 lbs and only 7months

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. The Expert will know if your dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name?

DACA

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else the Veterinarian should be aware of about DACA?

Not that I'm aware of. Unless you count a handful of marshmellows as well

Hello again,

I have worked out an answer for you below.

1. Good news! Almonds are non toxic to dogs so you have nothing to worry about on that score, however it could well be that your dog will not show any symptoms of any sort, but some dogs might perhaps suffer a mild transient bout of vomiting and / or diarrhoea purely because of the sudden ingestion of an unaccustomed rich " human " food. Should this occur it will normally not be too much of a problem and should pass on it's own.

2. But in any case I should be available online for you for the next four or five hours today so please do not hesitate to get straight back to me if your dog's condition changes in any way or you would like to talk things over with me further.

Regards,

Dr Scott
