Customer Question
Hello! Actually, it looks...

Hello! Actually, it looks like one of your previous postings answered my question. Our 80lb. female German Shepherd got into a bottle of Cosequin DS (each tablet = 600mg Glucosamine Hydrochloride; 300 mg Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate; and 250 mg MSM). I'm not clear on how many Emma had, but it could be as many as 50. I took her on a walk, and she seems fine (two bowel movements, with both being very runny). She's drank a good quart of water and is now resting on her bed. She seems to be acting normal (including wanting her treats which I discontinued during the walk when I saw the diarrhea). I've spoken to my Vet and he doesn't think there's a problem, but he's never had a dog eat these. Thank you for your thoughts!

Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. What is the dog's name?

Emma

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Emma?

She's ~4 1/2, very active and after her walk, pretty tired right now.

Hi.

Dr. Paul Brazzell here.

Can you confirm how long ago it was that she ate these?

Paul

I ran the math on this one./

Doses as high as 5GRAMS/KG have not been associated with issues. So we are well in the clear here!

And any problems with the Manganese in this product results only from long term overdose.

So other than some diarrhea you are in the clear.

BUT dont give too much water all at one time.

Offer a cup at a time every few hours-okay

And update me in the AM

And dont forget to rate me- That is how I get paid.

Cheers, Paul
