I do apologize that your question was not answered before. Different experts come online at various times; I just came online, read about your Gypsy's problem, and want to help.

How is Gypsy doing today? I'm betting all the puppies are here? How many did she have?

First time moms can be a little more anxious about what is happening, so that definitely can be normal to walk around in between having the puppies and sometimes come out in different spots. It can make it a little more messy for us, but ultimately it is within the realm of normal. If she has puppies again in the future, it could happen that way again, but I think they are more likely to find their 'nest'/comfy place and just stay there. Hopefully you've got everyone all together now for staying warm and making it easier to nurse.
