Ok sure

I would anticipate potentially some vomiting, likely some diarrhea given all that fish oil. I'd suggest keep his diet bland - home cooked plain chicken and rice would do fine, for the next 1-2 days. If he starts vomiting, you might want to get him assessed by your local vet. But I think likely you're just looking at some self-limiting GI upset. Keep a close eye on him, and keep his diet bland.

The vet told me to call poison control, do you think I need to?
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Peck, Dog Veterinarian replied 8 months ago

If you wanted to be as safe as possible this is a good idea. But I would not be worried about the heartgard or nexgard beyond some minor GI upset, and the fish oil I would simply anticipate some diarrhea in his future.

Without seeing him in person I don't have a valid veterinarian-client-patient relationship and thus can't legally diagnose, prognose, or treat. But I can tell you if this happened to my own personal dog, I'd be monitoring and doing a bland diet.

The ASCPA pet poison hotline is the best resource to contact in some circumstances, and many veterinarians (including myself) will use them for guidance on different ingestions. It is always safest to contact them if you want to be sure.

Should I be worried about heartgard since he's half aussie though? How much can he safely have without causing heart problems?
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Peck, Dog Veterinarian replied 8 months ago

I would not be myself, no, but you could certainly contact the aspca poison control for a toxicology consult if you wanted. The doses of ivermectin within heartgard is quite low compared with the high end therapeutic range for uses of that medication other than monthly heartworm / deworming parasite control.
