She is 4 on jan 2018’, it happen about 4 days ago, she is GERMAN shepherd,She is holding her leg up with her knee bent. I am scared as it might be her toe nails but I checked and it’s short
Dog Veterinarian: DocPaul, Veterinarian replied 1 month ago

When dogs hold their legs up like this it usually means a problem in the knee.

I am concerned that she has damaged one of the ligaments in her knee- the anterior cruciate ligament.

You can give her aspirin at 10.0 mg/pound for a dew days if you want but I think I would like you to have her examined.

They will be able to tell you what is wrong quite quickly.

Make sense, Paul

Well when You say holding up her knee I might got that wrong . She can use the same leg to scratch her eyes and still run is needed but then she will limps again. I have pressed around her legs , toes , knee and fill her hip and she does not make any noise . Only time she pulls her leg is when I touch around her toe area
Customer reply replied 1 month ago
Scratch her ears not eyes
Dog Veterinarian: DocPaul, Veterinarian replied 1 month ago

Thank you for clarifying that :).

We did not want that to be a torn ACL.

Lets try her with the Aspirin and strict rest for two days.

Give the aspirin twice daily please and with food.

Update me tomorrow AM.

Okay?
