I'm sorry that your question wasn't answered in a timely manner. Please let me know if you still need help. May I have an update on Lucy, please?

While her symptoms are important, they're not pathognomonic (specifically indicative) of any one particular disorder. I would be concerned, however, that she's having difficulty passing the peanut butter cup wrappers through her gastrointestinal tract. The candy itself isn't toxic but as with ingesting anything unusual transient gastrointestinal distress in the form of inappetence, vomiting and/or diarrhea can arise.

I wasn't sure if it was that(the wrappers) or aggravation of an older injury. She squeezed out the car window as a puppy. And she was walking the same way but it never got her down like this. I was concerned because she was acting so confused. I gave her some meloxicam that was prescribed for her. She seems to be acting somewhat normal today if not a little stiff still keeping her from running around is difficult.
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Michael Salkin, Veterinarian replied 10 months ago

Thank you for the additional information. If she want to run around, I'd allow her to do so. That's a positive sign. Obstruction of the GI tract will cause persistent vomiting and/or anorexia...neither of which you've mentioned. The meloxicam is reasonable at this time. I can't set a follow-up in this venue so please return to our conversation - even after rating - with an update at your convenience. You can bookmark this page for ease of return.
