Veterinarian's Assistant: I'm sorry to hear that. The Expert will know if the dog will be able to digest that. What is the dog's name?

Ringo, just found some of it uneaten, so ate about 2/3s. It was the fudge type

Veterinarian's Assistant: Is there anything else important you think the Veterinarian should know about Ringo?

Please don't be alarmed. There's nothing toxic to dogs in these bars. The small amount of chocolate is of no significance. It would take a bit less than 15 ounces of pure milk chocolate (5 ounces of dark chocolate) to intoxicate a 15 lb dog. There's no need to induce emesis or treat in any manner. Please respond with further questions or concerns.

Can expect diahheria or an upset stomach?
Dog Veterinarian: Dr. Michael Salkin, Veterinarian replied 7 months ago

As with ingesting anything unusual transient gastrointestinal distress in the form of inappetence, vomiting and/or diarrhea can arise but Ringo wasn't intoxicated and will remain safe. Please continue our conversation if you wish.
